Hello Spring! It is the season of rebirth, the season where we start fresh and new. This is the time to shed that winter skin - time to exfoliate, to nourish and create a healthy soft, smooth skin. I truly enjoy helping my clients feel sexy and confident by waxing. Happy New Year!! This is the time to say goodbye to 2014, reflect about the last 12 months and make plans for the new one ahead.
Looking back, it was quite a good year. I moved back to San Diego on Jan 15th and 2 weeks later I found myself working at a lovely Spa. Yes lovely, but not quite what I wanted. I really missed working for myself and pampering my clients to a higher level and taking as much time with them as I like and as they needed.
So before I knew it in June, I reopened up my own doors again. This time as "The Wax Diva" - formerly known as "Gimme Some Skin”. I was ready to work - I started sending out monthly email blasts, started up my Wax Diva Facebook page and hitting social media…but you always have to hold your breath. Is the business going to come? And San Diego has changed, with so many new waxing studios out there, is there enough room for me?
And so it began - the waiting. The uncertainty. I’m sure you’ve experienced this before, whether it be a new relationship, a new job prospect or even something like getting a new car. It’s that feeling of hoping that the little voice inside of you is sending you down the right path and being scared that its not all at the same time. But to not try or not do, that’s simply out of the question…
I must report that the little voice inside of me is feeling very happy. My business is growing again, slowly but surely. I have been so pleased to see the response when reaching out to clients - old and new ones. I didn't realize that I have so many loyal clients that were eager to welcome me back and return to me. I'm blessed that so many of you are comfortable and relaxed in my li’l cozy waxing boutique and enjoy the ambiance I try to create for everyone.
Looking forward, brings a huge smile to my face. I have great plans to pamper all my clients a little more and focus on growing just a little bigger. I plan to do this by beginning to offer pedicures & manicures, of course Diva Style Pedis & Manis for sure. And the growing a little bigger, means renting a larger studio to support these extra pamperings :) It goes without saying that this doesn't mean I’ll forget about things like; Taco Tuesdays, Weenie Wednesdays, & Birthday Specials. These have all gotten quite a response in 2014.
I think the New Year is naturally a great time to put things into perspective and to explicitly declare what you want in 2015. These are my business goals, and of course I have my personal resolutions that may or may not intersect with my business life. Ones like eat better or ride my bike more…but I wanted to not only write these down for myself but to also share them with you. Because where I am right now is a direct result of my clients. So thanks to everyone for making my first 6 months back in business promising and fulfilling.
Looking forward to seeing ya'll in 2015. I appreciate and love you all very much!!!
